What is Ranexa?

Ranexa is used alone or with other medications to treat discomfort, pressure, and pain in the chest (Angina). It belongs to a class of drugs called Antianginal. It works by improving the blood flow to the heart muscles which reduces angina symptoms.

The safety and efficacy of Ranexa in children younger than 18 years of age are not known.
