Medication information for Trioday

What is TRIODAY?

TRIODAY comprises Efavirenz, Lamivudine, and Tenofovir, which belong to a class of drugs known as antiretroviral.

It is used to treat HIV infection (human immunodeficiency virus). It improves the immune system's ability to fight HIV in order to manage or treat AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome).

Uses:

The HIV virus is prevented from growing in the body by taking the Trioday.

It aids in the control of infection and improves the performance of your immune system. This reduces the risk of problems, such as new infections, and enhances your overall quality of life.

It is neither an HIV or AIDS cure, and it should not be used to prevent HIV after unintentional risk exposure. It is critical that you take this medication exactly as directed by your doctor, including the dosage. Taking all of your medications in the proper amounts at the right times improves the effectiveness of your combination of medicines and lowers your risk of developing antiretroviral resistance.

Taking this medication, however, will not prevent it from spreading HIV to others.
