Spiriva (Tiotropium ) is used to manage the symptoms of a lung disease called chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It works by opening up the airways to make breathing easier. Spiriva should not be used for treating sudden breathing problems. Always carry a quick-relief rescue inhaler with you for sudden asthma attacks. You should tell your doctor about all your medical conditions before starting the treatment. Make sure you use Spiriva exactly as instructed by your healthcare provider. If you have shortness of breath, blurred vision, or skin allergies after using Spiriva, get medical help right away.
